theme encourages you to enjoy all the technology your
library has to offer! Check out the library's Wii games,
e-books, movies, music, audio books, databases and more.
And check out the Teen Tech Week display in the library's
Teen Space.
It will highlight some of the great materials the library
has to offer.

Promote-A-Play: A Poster Contest!
As part of “Much Ado About Something: A Shakespeare Festival,” contestants are invited to tap into their creative skills and design a poster promoting one of Shakespeare’s plays. The poster must contain text as well as images and should be no larger than 11x17. Pen & ink, colored pencils, pastels, collages, and computer graphics are acceptable mediums, but paintings (oils, watercolors, etc) are NOT acceptable.
Posters will be judged in three categories:
Adults (18 years of age & older)
High School Students in Grades 9-12
Middle School Students in Grades 6-8.
in each category. Posters must be delivered to the
West Caldwell Public Library by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 4.
To enter the contest, please visit the library for an entry form. Return the completed form to the West Caldwell Public Library by 8:00 pm on Monday, February 11.
Posters will displayed in the Library’s Richard Cass Art Gallery
from Monday, March 4 - Saturday, March 16. Then, they will be
displayed in the High School lobby from Monday, March 18– Saturday, March 23..

Winter Reading Program for Grade 5 and Up!
You are invited to Check In @ Your Library and participate in our first winter reading program for students in grade 5 and up. Read or listen and log in 300 minutes between January 7 and March 9. When you have completed 300 minutes, return your reading log to the Youth Services Desk for your chance to win one of three iTunes gift cards! Winners will be randomly selected from all the submitted logs. The winners will be contacted during Teen Tech Week (March 10-16).
Reading logs are available in the library's Teen Space.
Teen Tech Week is a great opportunity to check out the video games, audio books, downloadable eBooks, music and movies that are available at the library!

Teen Read Week Make-a-Monster Contest!
Celebrate Teen Read Week, October 14-20, 2012, by participating in the West Caldwell Public Library's Make-a-Monster Contest.
Young people in grade 5 and up are invited to make a creepy creature out of recycled materials to be displayed in the library. Work on your own or on a team with friends. Prizes will be awarded for the three most creative monsters! An entry form must accompany each monster. Please visit the library's Teen Space for an entry form and list of the contest rules. Bring your gruesome creation to the Youth Services Desk by Saturday, October 20.

National Library Week Scavenger Hunt Contest
Students in grade 5 and up are invited to hunt through the library for the answers to a variety of challenging questions. You can find a copy of the contest in the library's Teen Space.
