Promote-A-Play: A Poster Contest!


Much Ado About Something: A Shakespeare Festival
As part of “Much Ado About Something: A Shakespeare Festival,” contestants are invited to tap into their creative skills and design a poster promoting one of Shakespeare’s plays. The poster must contain text as well as images and should be no larger than 11x17. Pen & ink, colored pencils, pastels, collages, and computer graphics are acceptable mediums, but paintings (oils, watercolors, etc) are NOT acceptable.

Posters will be judged in three categories:
Adults (18 years of age & older)
High School Students in Grades 9-12
Middle School Students in Grades 6-8.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up
in each category. Posters must be delivered to the
West Caldwell Public Library by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 4.


To enter the contest, please visit the library for an entry form.  Return the completed form to the West Caldwell Public Library by 8:00 pm on Monday, February 11.


Posters will displayed in the Library’s Richard Cass Art Gallery
from Monday, March 4 - Saturday, March 16. Then, they will be
displayed in the High School lobby from Monday, March 18– Saturday, March 23..
